The National Dairy Council (NDC) and the National Football League (NFL) – in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) – are making a long-term commitment to America’s youth with a school-based nutrition and fitness initiative called Fuel Up to Play 60. The initiative gets students involved in creating a healthier school environment that promotes student health, learning and achievement. Through Fuel Up to Play 60, we are encouraging all our students at Highland Arts Elementary to be physically active for 60 minutes a day and to make healthy eating choices.
Registration is easy and there are many new and interesting things to learn and explore on the Fuel Up to Play 60 site. Go to the Fuel Up to Play 60 website to register and create your account. Students will need parent permission and guidance while visiting the site. Once logged in, please make sure you link yourself to Highland Elementary and our TEAM name is Hurricanes. Plus, write down your username and password and put it in a safe spot for the next time you log in! Students who are active on this site can earn points, which give them a chance to win prizes for themselves and the school. Our goal would be to one day have our entire school registered and staying active on site.
We look forward to the rest of this school year and future years of positive, healthy changes through Fuel Up to Play 60!
